"Reality is the product of the mind, the
spirit, conscious thoughts and feelings, and unconscious thoughts and
feelings. These together form the reality
that you know."
The Nature of Personal Reality: A Seth Book,

When
we set a goal we take steps to achieve it. The steps we take are those we
learned from our parents, teachers, and others as we grew up. Often
these steps are effective and we achieve our goal. A very satisfying
feeling, to be sure!
But sometimes, no matter what we do, we seem
to fail at achieving a goal. Try as we might, the prescribed steps just
don't yield the hoped-for results. Typical explanations for this are
often:
-
there's something wrong with us;
-
we don't deserve it;
-
we didn't pray hard enough for it;
-
we haven't paid our dues yet; or
-
it's just not meant to be.
Explanations like these only frustrate us,
because there seems to be some hidden force at work, a force we feel
powerless to control. Sometimes our response is to try even harder. Other
times, we simply give up trying. |

When I was young, I felt this frustration many
times. Then, in my late 20's, I came across some information that opened
up a whole new world of ideas to me. I realized that I had been living in
a world of limitations that I had—without
realizing it—imposed
upon myself. As I worked with these ideas, I found them to be effective.
Each year that passed brought new successes in the areas of romance,
friendships, financial security, creative expression, inner contentment,
career fulfillment, parenting, and more.
With a professional background in education,
it was natural for me to want to share what I have learned with others.
Ultimately I determined that the best way to teach this information was to
organize it around an already existing and powerful process I had used
called creative visualization. I have told the story of how all
this unfolded for me in my article, "How
I Came to Discover and Teach Creative Visualization."
Creative
visualization is a technique which, very simply put, uses
mental imagery and positive thinking to achieve goals. It employs simple,
effective steps that produce elegant, satisfying results. Though simple,
it is a powerful technique. When you visualize your goal and repeatedly
focus upon the thoughts, images and feelings of what you want, you develop
within your brain's neuronal structuring* a new blueprint for the future.
It is this new blueprint which allows you to notice in your everyday life
the information, guidance, ideas, insights, and inspirations that will lead to
achieving your goals.
My book, The
Art of Creative Visualization: A Self-Teaching Workbook,
takes you step-by-step through the creative visualization process, showing
you how to create powerful goal-focused images and charge them with energy
to create a new blueprint for your life to follow. In clear,
easy-to-understand language, I show you how
to—one
step at a time—go
about creating whatever it is that you want. Not a quick fix, this process
brings about lasting results and can be used to create success in any area
of your life.

The Art of Creative Visualization:
A Self-Teaching Workbook
has
sold out and is now out-of-print!
Oh, my! That's shocking news, isn't it? It's
shocking for me to be delivering it, but there it is.
The cascade of events of 2007 have brought
me to a very new place. My teaching momentum was first broken in the spring
with the decision to homeschool our daughter. Then, this summer when it was
resolved for her to go to Harmony School instead, my mother became engaged
in her transition out of the body and on to better things, and I certainly
wanted to be a part of that. Now, at the end of the year, I find I've sold
nearly all copies of my book and have been debating the pros and cons of
reprinting it.
